Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains what MJ Travel Gurus collects when you visit our site, what we do not collect, and the choices you have. We've kept it short and plain because there isn't much to say — we don't process payments, we don't store passenger details, and we don't operate any kind of user account system.

What we collect

When you submit our contact form, we receive the name, email address, topic and message you provided. That submission is delivered to our editorial inbox via a third-party form service (Formspree). The submission is retained in our inbox so we can respond. We do not add it to any marketing list.

Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser user-agent, the URL requested, the timestamp of the request). These logs are used to diagnose technical errors and to detect abuse. They are typically retained for up to thirty days and are not joined with any marketing or advertising profile.

We use a small number of essential cookies and similar local-storage values. The most user-visible is mjtg_advisory_v1, which records that you've dismissed the cookie advisory so we don't show it again. We may use a privacy-respecting, aggregate-only analytics service to count page views; this counter does not associate views with an individual identity and does not set tracking cookies that follow you across other websites.

What we don't collect

We don't collect or store passport numbers, payment-card details, dates of birth, frequent-flyer numbers, or any passenger-name-record data. We don't run a checkout or hold reservations. We don't operate user accounts, so there is no password, no profile, and no purchase history.

We don't run third-party advertising cookies or remarketing pixels. If you click through to a partner site (Kayak, Skyscanner, Google Flights, Momondo, Expedia, Hopper) or to a carrier's own page, that destination site has its own privacy policy and its own cookie behavior — please review theirs separately.

Affiliate disclosure

Some outbound links on this site may earn us a small referral fee if you ultimately complete a booking on a partner site. This fee never increases the price you pay; it's paid by the partner from their own commission. We do not let this affect what we publish about an airline or a route, and we never accept payment to alter the editorial content of our destination, airline, or tips coverage.

Your choices

You can dismiss the cookie advisory at any time. You can clear the mjtg_advisory_v1 value from your browser's local storage to make the advisory reappear. You can ask us to delete a contact-form submission from our inbox by emailing the address below.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through our contact form, please contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Because we keep so little personal data, most updates will be small clarifications rather than substantive shifts.
